Today, 14th January 2026, the Coordinator of NANS Southwest (Zone D), Comrade Owolewa Taiwo, was present at the matriculation ceremony of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The Coordinator joined staff, students, and parents to witness the matriculation of newly admitted students into the Great Ife. He congratulated the fresh students on their admission and commended the school management for a well-organized and successful ceremony.
One of the major highlights of the day was the matriculation of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), the APC flagbearer and leading aspirant for the 2026 Osun State governorship election, who officially began his Ph.D. in Public Administration.
For us as students, AMBO’s decision to return to school for further studies is encouraging. It shows that leadership and education go hand in hand. Choosing Public Administration, a course directly connected to governance, speaks volumes about his readiness for public service and his desire to lead with knowledge.
Osun students are indeed lucky to have a governorship aspirant who believes in education and continuous learning. This is the kind of example young people can learn from, and we believe the student community will naturally support leaders who value academic growth and capacity building.
The leadership of NANS Southwest Zone D remains committed to standing with students at all levels and will continue to push for policies and leadership that put students and education first.
