The Director of ICT, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest (Zone D), Comrade Kehinde Ayokunle Temiloluwa, has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected Students' Union Government (SUG) executives, led by Comrade Royal, on their resounding victory and successful inauguration held yesterday.
In a statement released from the Office of the Director of ICT, NANS Zone D, Comr. Kehinde hailed the electoral process that produced the new leaders, emphasizing that their victory is a clear indication of the trust and confidence the student body has in them to deliver quality representation and progressive leadership.
"Leadership is not about occupying an office; it is about responsibility, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the students. The student community has chosen you to be their voice and to protect their interests—this is a sacred duty that must be upheld with integrity, courage, and selflessness."
Comr. Kehinde further charged the Comr. Royal-led administration to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and fearless representation, ensuring that the students remain at the center of every decision taken. He assured the newly inaugurated executives that NANS Southwest (Zone D) will continue to stand in solidarity with them, providing the necessary support to ensure a successful and impactful tenure.
He urged the executives to work together as a team, remain resilient in the face of challenges, and prioritize policies that will enhance the welfare, academic development, and overall progress of the students they represent.
As the struggle for a better academic environment and improved welfare for Nigerian students continues, Comr. Kehinde reiterated the Aluta spirit, reminding them that the journey ahead requires boldness, strategy, and unity of purpose.
"The battle for student welfare and academic excellence is a continuous one. May your administration be a shining example of selfless leadership, progress, and student-oriented policies. Once again, congratulations! The struggle continues, and victory is certain!"
