On 6th of November, 2024, the leadership of NANS Southwest ably led by Comr. Owolewa Taiwo attended the medical outreach organized by the Highbeekay Foundation, for the residents of Akure, Ondo State.
The event provided comprehensive healthcare services to over 150 beneficiaries, promoting health awareness and addressing pressing medical concerns.
The Highbeekay Foundation, a non-profit organization established by Amb. Ibukun Samuel, an erstwhile ASG of NANS Southwest, dedicated to improving lives through healthcare, education, and empowerment.
The outreach aimed at:
1.) Providing free medical consultations and treatments.
2.) Conducting health screenings and diagnostics.
3.) Distributing medications and health supplies.
4.) Educating participants on preventive healthcare practices.
5.) Improving access to healthcare services for underprivileged communities.
6.) Enhancing health awareness and education.
7.) Reducing health disparities and inequalities.
Major Activities includes:
1.) Medical Consultations: General practitioners, specialists, and nurses provided consultations and treatments.
2.) Health Screenings: Blood pressure, blood glucose, and malaria tests were conducted.
3.) Dental Care: Dental checks, cleaning, and extractions were performed.
4.) Eye Care: Vision tests, glasses distribution, and cataract surgeries were facilitated.
5.) Health Education: Seminars on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention were conducted.
6.) Medication Distribution: Essential drugs and health supplies were disbursed.
We appreciate the volunteers and every individuals who made this event a huge success.
